It's Result Time.... :-))


Being a communicator is pertinent to an IBPYP classroom. To inculcate this learner profile, a "Show & Tell" competition was organised by PYP on 27.11.15. Tiny tots of Nursery, KG 1 and KG 2 participated enthusiastically. It was amazing to witness the little ones talk about the health benefits of a banana, the value of time, Lord Krishna, modes of transport etc.Doraemon was a hit amongst children. The event was funfilled. Everybody enjoyed it alike.

PYP NURSERY TO GRADE 5 celebrated Guru Nanak Dev Jayanti.

We worship different forms of One God whom everybody believes in. To celebrate the Prakash Utsav of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, PYP Grades Nursery to 5 had a special assembly conducted with a view to promote relevance of the festival. Students & Teachers communicated their thoughts, poems, speech in punjabi. Students recited Mool Mantra and did Shabad Gayan marking the significance of the festival.
Post assembly, all students went to the Gurudwara in Urban Estate, Phase-1. The Special assembly and the visit to the holy shrine helped our students to become open minded towards all religions and promote the regional language Punjabi.

Field visit to General Post Office, Jalandhar

Organisation is required everywhere may it be school, home, park, hotel and this time PYP grades 1 to 5 visited General Post Office, Jalandhar.
Students took a round of all the departments and learned about different organs like Admin, Treasury, Post Shoppe, Receipt/Dispatch department. Students met the team of postmans and also gained knowledge about the hierarchy and service provided by this govt. organization.















                            "MAGIC HUES" 
It was a parent – child- teacher event organized by the PYP Wing for parents of Nursery today. Parents joined hands to experiment with their little one to witness how colors can be changed. The tiny tots loved the magic of mixing colors and the partnership with parents was an icing on the cake. The little ones didn’t stop at just creating new colors; they went on to paint the scenery, drawn by their parents , with the newly created hues.

Rules for writing spellings - A session by the Principal.


Today we had a knowledgeable session for PYP  grades 1 to 5 emphasising the importance of spellings. 
Our Principal Ms. Meenu Huria shared some exclusive rules followed in writing spellings.
The whole idea behind the session was to teach students the significance of writing correct spellings
It was an interactive session where in all the students enjoyed learning as they participated enthusiastically.

Health and Hygiene Awareness Campaign

IB believes in involving the community, we at Cambridge always work towards bringing the real world scenario to school.
This time we had Dr. Sarwinder Singh, M.D. (Model Town ) along with a team from Indeco Remedies who was with us to promote awareness and build capacities of the students to maintain basic health and sanitation at primary levels .

Brushing Teeth, Hand washing, Food Hygiene, Germs, Television and Foods were few concepts covered by the experts.
