IB PYP Grades I to V inquired into Sharing the Planet!!

Our planet is a warehouse of enormous resources which we share unconditionally. Our students in this unit have begun to learn about the value of these resources and their types.
Here is a glimpse of their inquiry in different areas like AIR, WATER, SOIL, SUN, and the CONFLICTS that occur when we share them.

Student Led Conference...!

A Student Led Conference (SLC) for PYP Grades Nursery to V was organized at CIFS on 20^th Feb, 2016 which is a unique feature of IB PYP. The students took lead and shared the best of their work – their Portfolio with their parents. The teachers took a backseat and children talked verbose about their various masterpieces collected over the period of a session. The event was a hit among parents!!

Happy Basant!!

Saraswati puja coincides with Basant Panchami, the first day of Spring, and it’s also observed as the day of birth of the goddess. The day is all about prosperity, energy, and enlightenment.

IB PYPstudents celebrated the day with full zeal and enthusiasm, grades nursery to 5 all the students were dressed in yellow the color of prosperity, brightness and  energy. A variety of food items were part of their  snack and after which they all went out in the open area and enjoyed kite flying.

Field trip to Water Treatment Laboratory

PYP KG2, Grade 2 and 3 students have been on a field trip on 1-2-16, to Water Treatment Laboratory under the theme Sharing The Planet. There they learnt how water reaches their home, all about the drainage system in the city. They also learnt how to detect bacteria and viruses in the drained water and the processes they follow to purify the polluted water. Overall they became knowledge able about the use and importance of pure and clean water.
